Betty Jean

Bareboat Charter in the Abacos

Delivery
Her Delivery

After a long gestation, Betty was delivered in Jacksonville on June 12, 2007.  She's such a doll!

She was off loaded and made her three day cruise to Ft. Lauderdale for further commissioning.  Day one was a jump over the rail onto Betty Jean, then ten miles down river, day two took her to Cocoa, and day three took her to Fort Lauderdale to await commissioning.

To the Abacos

After commissioning and provisioning (i.e.: shopping), Betty Jean and her crew of Bob Allen, our broker from Willmar USA, and Rick and Sally Gulick left Fort Lauderdale on August 21, 2007 for Marsh Harbor.

Day one took us through the Lucayan Waterway with storms, wind, and waterspouts, and a night at Spanish Cay.

Day two was easy with a stop at Green Turtle Cay, lunch at Nippers, and finally to our slip at Abaco Beach Resort.
