Betty Jean

Bareboat Charter in the Abacos

The Boat
  • Aboard Betty Jean, you will find room for everyone and their activities.  You have room to gather or room to spread out into several well-defined areas.
    • Gathering Places:
      • Flybridge:  3600 views make docking and piloting easy and the whole gang can enjoy sun and breezes with seating for 6 and an extra large cushioned sun deck.
      • Cockpit:  The roomy cockpit has room for table and chairs or it's the landing zone for swimming, snorkeling, and showers on the swim platform.
      • Saloon: This multi-purpose main deck is the ideal space for cooking, having a meal, enjoying your company, or taking part in planning tomorrow's cruise.  The galley is user-friendly and well-equipped with everything organized to facilitate cooking on board.  The settee seats the entire crew and doubles as a bed or movie lounge.  The saloon table is large and practical, with comfortable bench seating on three sides.  The photo to the right is from Fountaine-Pajot but Betty Jean's saloon is identical except a flat screen TV/DVD is mounted above the microwave.
    • Cabins and Hulls:
      • Each hull is spacious, quiet, and private.  While part of the team parties in the saloon, the sleepy ones hear very little noise in the cabins.
      • No more having to toss a coin to determine which couple gets the "good" berth and which couple gets the "bad" berth.  Both cabins equal with just a little difference in headroom above the bunk.
      • Each hull contains an over-size queen berth aft, head and shower forward, and storage and dressing space in between.
    • The Dinghy:
      • The dinghy is easily raised and lowered from the davits above the transom.
      • Explore towns, do some shopping, go snorkeling.  The dinghy gives one or all the flexibility to do what they want.

Layout:

The layouts shown below are from Fountaine-Pajot.   The interior layout shone below is for the 3 cabin 1 bath version.  Since  Betty Jean is the Duo version of the Highland 35,  her port hull is a mirror image of starboard with a queen cabin aft and head and shower forward.  In short . . . Betty Jean has TWO cabins and TWO heads.
